About the Opportunity:

You are a proven sales champion and are motivated to develop and manage your own sales pipeline with a group of key customers. You are well versed in the sales process and know the right questions to ask, as well as the sales pitfalls to avoid. Customer satisfaction is on top of your list of priorities and you thrive on developing sincere relationships with customers, while maintaining the ability to push back on unrealistic expectations/deadlines. You are used to being accountable for the overall success of customer relationships and a relentless problem solver. You are both self-starter and team player with strong character and motivated to contribute to our hard-working team. You thrive when navigating complex customer relationships and provide results through deep understanding of customer needs and translating those needs into innovative and sustainable business solutions.

We will be a key part of our sales team, handling accounts that have already purchased at least one product or service from us, as well as closing new, qualified leads. You will be the main point of contact for your book of business, helping with any re-orders and any issues/questions that may come up. Upselling will be a key priority, as a major goal will be to set-up meetings with your key customers, learning about their growth, issues, and needs - figuring out ways we can help grow and expand their business with our products/services. You will partner deeply with our customers, working collaboratively to solve their business problems, as well as helping understand their needs through demand forecasting. You will work closely with our operations team, ensuring their forecast is entered into our system and helping track their orders every step of the way.

You will be part of a small sales team, which means you will have a really big impact, your ideas will be heard, and there is a huge potential for growth. This opportunity is in-person only in our Kent office. As a growing start-up, many processes are new or need to be created. You will work with the sales and operations team on figuring out the best way to do things more efficiently and even automate certain tasks. You must be comfortable learning new tools, processes, and even creating some of these for yourself and the team!

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implements strategies to maintain/expand sales and promote new products and services to your key customers
  • Utilize CRM (customer relationship management) tools to build customer base, enhance product services and customer relationships
  • Set up meetings with our customers to understand the their overall objectives and requirements, try to identify pain points and asses their needs
  • Follow-up with customers on a regular basis to maintain meaningful relationships
  • Advise customers on new product and service offerings and obtain feedback on past products purchased
  • Work with customers to build out a forecast and then partner with our operations team to help ensure your customers are kept in stock
  • Work with our customer service and operations teams to expedite the resolution of customer concerns
  • Prepare and conduct product/service presentations to our customers
  • Contribute to the quarterly/annual business forecasting by providing account trends and future customer needs
  • Promote world-class customer care throughout every stage of the customer lifecycle
  • Meet and exceed predetermined sales goals and objectives and reports on progress weekly
  • Collaborate with sales management/leaders/teams to develop overall objectives and growth strategies
  • Maintain a clear updated view of your sales pipeline, reporting in weekly sales meetings
  • Be highly organized, managing multiple projects with complex details, which require you to work with different teams to ensure orders are submitted and completed on time
  • Operate with high attention to detail, ensuring all orders are entered into our system correctly, double checking with clients, and watching out for any vendor errors
  • Develop extensive knowledge of our products, service, and the industry as a whole

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of direct B2B sales experience
  • Strong experience with a CRM
  • Conceptual strength: ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity
  • Proven relationship-building skills
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • Must work well as part of a team as well as independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, many customers, and meet shifting priorities
  • Inherent problem-solving skills and outstanding written and verbal communication and listening skills
  • Strong computer skills

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
